With its ViewPoint touchscreen experience, Oxford Immunotec showcased its technology and gathered valuable contacts at two major industry trade shows. Cyphre TechnologyĬyphre Technology used ViewPoint to present critical information on cybersecurity at a prestigious corporate event sponsored by AT&T. Also joining our growing client roster, were a number of other dynamic organizations, among them Sika Corporation, FEI (recently acquired by Thermo Fisher), and Boston Scientific.įor each, we created (or are currently working on) custom touchscreen experiences to showcase their products and increase customer engagement in a variety of venues, from trade shows to retail outlets to off-site company facilities to our client’s corporate offices. We added a slew of new clients in a variety of sectors, from cybersecurity firm Cyphre Technology to The Boy Scouts of America to Oxford Immunotec, which develops and commercializes proprietary tests for the management of underserved immune-regulated conditions. ViewPoint achieved another strong year in fiscal 2017, doubling its client roster. The educational assumptions and propositions of A Share in the Future will be juxtaposed with those of the Cross-Cultural Collaboration Project, undertaken in the Northern Territory in 2008, to consider alternative ways of successfully engaging these local educational complexities.Now that we’ve just about shut the door on 2017 - a super busy one here at ViewPoint Interactive Solutions - I want to share some of the highlights, and offer a little peek at our plans for 2018. Such an approach is unable to adequately respond to the relational, cultural and linguistic complexities and nuances of local Indigenous education contexts.

This paper offers a brief exposition of this review, highlighting how an exclusive focus on comparative statistics and standardised testing of English literacy and numeracy works to maintain the coupling of ‘Indigenous’ and ‘deficit’, reifying colonial power relations and justifying technical and bureaucratic educational approaches, administered and monitored from afar.

A Share in the Future, the latest review of Indigenous education in the Northern Territory is an exemplar in this regard.

The global standardization reform movement in education has seduced many Indigenous education policy makers in Australia, providing a powerful neoliberal discourse to further consolidate their focus on Indigenous educational deficit.
